All Hands on Deck!
Are you self-motivated, have a skill to share and are ready to roll up your sleeves?
Our projects are rooted in permaculture, but aren’t limited to the garden. We have several natural building projects happening across Pine Ridge and we need all hands on deck! We don’t expect you to be an expert in these fields, [though, if you are, we’d love to meet you!] your interest and ability to learn quickly will go a long way.
We provide free primitive camping, wi-fi and use of the kitchen and shower. Please keep in mind South Dakota’s climate when you decide if this is right for you. We get hot temperatures up to 120°F in the summers that drop to -50°F at times in the winters. Heavy storms aren’t uncommon here in the Plains.
It’s also important to note that this isn’t yet the fully developed permaculture haven we are working to create. Many of our projects are in their beginning stages, and living conditions get tough. However, one day watching the skies fly by, the sun sink into the rolling hills and a night under the full view of the Milky Way makes up for any lacking urban luxuries – just come prepared!
